- Major Contributions: To meet the changing needs of the islands there has been a significant increase to the Major Contributions grant budget, up from $400,000 in 2021 to $1.5 million in 2022. There are also now two intakes per year, March 1st and September 1st by 4pm.
- Arts Workshop and Arts Mentorship: Now two intakes per year, February 1st and October 1st by 4pm.
- Youth Centred Communities: The intake has been moved to April 1st at 4pm.
- Food Sovereignty: Now one intake per year, March 1st by 4pm.
- Community Innovation: Now five intakes per year, Feb 1, Apr 1, Jun 1, Sep 1, and Oct 1 by 4pm.
- Special Projects: Occasionally Gwaii Trust provides grant funding for strategic projects that don’t fit into our typical granting streams and fall outside our annual budgets. Special Projects grants support projects that are large in scale, of all Island benefit, and align with the strategic priorities of Gwaii Trust and Haida Gwaii. There is no maximum application amount and applications are due the 1st of each month at 4pm. No intakes on January 1st & December 1st.
