Project Overview
The Gwaii Trust Society is seeking proposals for a website redesign. We are looking for a fresh, new website that provides visitors with key information about the organization and its funding programs. The website should be engaging, easy for the public to navigate, and simple for our staff to update. And, we hope that in developing this website, we establish an ongoing partnership with the successful contractor.
Please note that while the current Gwaii Trust website manages grant applications, this process will be moved to a different platform. Access to grant applications on the new platform should be integrated with this new website.
Company Overview
The Gwaii Trust Society owns and manages a perpetual trust fund for the benefit of all residents of Haida Gwaii. The fund generates investment income and the Society distributes part of that income every year through a variety of grant programs on Haida Gwaii. At present, the organization is very well known on Haida Gwaii as a local funding body. However, residents generally feel the current website has too much information, and is difficult to navigate.
Project Goals
We expect the successful contractor to recommend a simple content management system and web hosting that will support a new website that addresses the following goals:
- Educate individuals and organizations about the Gwaii Trust’s goals and history;
- Educate individuals and organizations about funding programs, and attract applicants;
- Provide a secure area for document sharing, with unique login credentials for each board member;
- Empower staff to easily create and update content;
- Integrate with social media platforms;
- Accommodate future growth and development (CRM, donation integration, etc.);
- Light rebranding, without altering the current logo.
Through the design process, we want to build a relationship with the successful contractor that will continue after the launch of the website. We are looking for a contractor that will provide us with exceptional and ongoing technical support, and one that will provide recommendations for future growth.
Budget Details
We have a flexible budget, within the range of $8,000 – $12,000 CAD. This budget does not include annual hosting fees. Please include these anticipated costs in your proposal.
Project Timeline
The final website should be completed by March 31, 2019.
Proposal Requirements & Application Deadline
Proposals should include a company overview, an estimated budget, and examples of previous work. References that can speak to your customer service abilities are considered an asset.
We will address questions and clarifications by email or phone until November 12, 2018. Proposals are due by email at 5PM PST on November 16, 2018.
