The Phillips Patient Monitor system upgrade is a critical piece of equipment that allows staff to remotely monitor the vital signs of patients (Blood pressure, heart rate, heart rhythm, oxygen saturation, respiration rate, temperature, and end tidal CO2 monitoring) in ER stretchers or patient rooms. Having the right tools for staff to do their best work is key to keeping our staff happy and wanting to stay working on Haida Gwaii. As a result of this grant, we were able to add 2 more patient monitors to Northern Haida Gwaii Hospital in Masset and the Haida Gwaii Hospital in Daajing Giids, and upgrade hardware and software at both sites.
