The 2026 Travel Assistance Grant is now closed. Due to unprecedented demand, the $100,000 allocated for this program has been fully spent as of Friday, February 27. Through this grant stream, Gwaii Trust Society was able to support 250 applicants across Haida Gwaii.
This grant is offered first‑come, first‑served each year until all funds are allocated. We know this news may be disappointing, and we want to acknowledge the impact this has on those who were still hoping to apply.
The Board of Directors will be reviewing the 2026 grant program in November to determine the 2027 grant streams. Each year, the Board works very hard to allocate funding in a way that supports the broad needs of our communities to the best of our ability.
