Hearing from our community matters

Based on previous community feedback, the Gwaii Trust Society has updated the residency rule — changing it from 2 consecutive years to 5 consecutive years, with important exceptions. Time spent away for post-secondary education or medical needs (for example, traveling off-island for dialysis) will not count against your residency.

We know community feedback is always a balancing act, and we want to make sure every voice is heard. Please take a moment to share your thoughts on this recent change by filling out the survey below.

Prefer to talk in person? You can visit our offices in Skidegate or Old Massett, Monday to Friday, 9 AM–4 PM.

If you would rather write directly to a director, you can email them here: https://gwaiitrust.com/our-story/board-of-directors/

As always, please be kind and respectful — your neighbours, friends, and fellow community members will be reading these comments.
